I attended both Mid America Christian University and Missouri Baptist University. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Missouri Baptist University about five years ago. I hold certifications to teach elementary education (grades 1st through 6th), language arts at the middle school level (grades 5th through 9th), English at the high school level (grades 9th through 12th), and special education for students with disabilities (cross categorical). When I tutor, I like to help students reach success in their studies by teaching them in an efficient way that helps them to move from where they are in their knowledge to where they need to be. Math courses I tutor including elementary math, middle school math, and pre-algebra. I also tutor reading, writing, phonics, literature, grammar and mechanics, science, and many others. I can also help students prepare for tests, including the ISEE, SSAT, PSAT, IB, and others. I am skilled at working with special education students as well as students of all abilities. In my free time, I enjoy reading good books and writing.
